Twenty-five years ago, I left Vancouver for Toronto in order to start a career in film. Since then I have collaborated with some of the best production designers and directors in the business. Working in TV, film and commercials, I have created sets and set pieces in every kind of environment. Though I have a lot of experience in drama and reality TV, I have somehow become the go-to set decorator/designer for countless independent comedy shorts, commercials and series. Through a variety of formats, I’ve learned to think on my feet and find solutions no matter the budget. I think it’s all about the details and I get a weird thrill from finding the perfect prop or piece of set decoration that helps define a character or mood, adding life and reality to a set.

My creativity and imagination is driven by my passion to deliver the best. I have a keen eye for detail and know exactly what has to come from creative discussions with directors and production teams. Through strong leadership and organization I confidently maintain a balanced budget while never compromising the visual quality of a project. On set, I keep the mood light and friendly with equal parts comedy and courtesy.

Outside of the industry, I have designed and decorated everything from hair salons to tattoo shops. Receiving some press for this is an added bonus, but I do it the hopes of learning something new each time.
